Welcome To Nefertari Admission Guide

Thank you for your interest in joining Nefertari International School, Cairo branch. Admissions for the scholastic year 2026-2027 will be open on Sunday, 2nd November, 2025 from Baby Class to Year 12. 
We invite you to join both Egyptian and international families who aspire to a premier international education for their children. 

Nefertari International School accepts applications for students from Baby Class to Year 12. All applications are checked on individual basis.

The admission office works from Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Students are selected through a competitive admission process as we look for highly motivated students with diverse backgrounds, talents, and skills.

Admission Office accepts new applications and students transferring from abroad throughout the year according to availability. We will start the reviewing process for the 2026-2027 scholastic year on Sunday, 2nd November, 2025.

Follow These Simple Steps to Start Your Application Process

  • Please click on the link ADMISSION PLATFROM, create an account, fill in all fields, pay online and then submit.
  • After filling out and submitting the online application, you will shortly receive an email with the child’s assessment date, parents’ interview date and a QR Code to be able to access school gate 14 (FS1 to Y12).
  • Students applying for the Foundation Stage will be assessed based on their developmental stage in relation to their chronological age.
  • Older students will be assessed in English and Math (Y1 to Y10).

  • Please ensure you and your child attend the assessment and family interview on the scheduled date.
  • NIS understands that some children may not perform to their full potential due to being nervous. Therefore, at the school’s discretion, a child may be invited to retake the assessment.
  • Acceptance into all Nefertari International Schools is contingent upon passing the admission assessment.
  • Parents will be notified within 72 hours of testing via a phone call from the Office of Admissions regarding whether the student has met the admission standards or not.
  • If the applicant is eligible, submit the required documents. Check the “Required Documents” section below
  • A meeting is scheduled for the parents of the accepted child with the school Chairperson/Head of School and the School Principal to explain the School Guiding Statements, and terms of School-Parent Code of Conduct (Baby Class to FS2).
  • For Y1- Y9 applicants, an orientation is scheduled for the parents of the accepted students with the school Headmistress to explain the School Guiding Statements, and terms of School-Parent Code of Conduct.
  • For Y10, 11 and 12 applicants, a meeting is scheduled for the parents of the accepted student and the student himself/herself with the IGCSE Coordinator to explain the School Guiding Statements, terms of School-Parent Code of Conduct and discuss the available subject options.
  • A one-time admission fee is due within 7 days to reserve a place for the student for the school year applied for (Baby Class to Year 9).

Required Documents

Part 1: Documents required for those transferring within Egypt
    • Original birth certificate – computer-generated (Egyptian students).
    • Copy of student’s passport or birth certificate and residence visa valid for no less than six months – this should not be a tourist visa (non-Egyptian students).
    • Six recent passport-size photos of students.
    • Copy of mother and father’s ID (National Number) and passport copies of non-Egyptian parents.
    • Original academic report from the previous school for the last academic year.
    • Subjects’ Certificates for students applying to Y11 and 12 (transferred from a British School)
    • Letter of good conduct from the previous school for students applying to Year 1 and above.

In case the student is transferring from a school within Egypt, you are required to present all the above-mentioned documents in addition to the following:

  • Transfer request (طلب تحويل) stamped from both schools and Educational Districts (الإدارتين التعليميتين).
  • In case the student’s old school and Nefertari are in different governorates (محافظتين مختلفتين), the transfer request (طلب تحويل) should be stamped from both schools, both Educational Districts (الإدارتين التعليميتين) and both Educational Directorates (المديريتين التعليميتين)
  • Attendance statement (تسلسل دراسى) stamped from the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) of the school(s) the student is transferring from starting from Year 1.
  • Legal success report (بيان نجاح) for the last academic year stamped from the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) of the school the student is transferring from in case of transfer from an international school.
  • Legal success report (بيان نجاح) including the English high level and the second language for the last academic year stamped from the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) of the school the student is transferring from in case of transfer from a national school.
  • For students applying to Year 8, legal success report (بيان نجاح) for Year 6 and 7 should be submitted and stamped from the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) of the school the student is transferring from in case of transfer from an international school.
  • For students applying to Year 8, legal success report (بيان نجاح) including the English high level and the second language for Year 6 and 7 should be submitted and stamped from the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) of the school the student is transferring from in case of transfer from a national school.
  • For students applying to Year 9, legal success report (بيان نجاح) for Year 6, 7 and 8 should be submitted and stamped from the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) of the school the student is transferring from in case of transfer from an international school.
  • For students applying to Year 9, legal success report (بيان نجاح) including the English high level and the second language for Year 6,7 and 8 should be submitted and stamped from the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) of the school the student is transferring from in case of transfer from a national school.
  • Electronic transfer (تحويل الكترونى) request from the previous school.

In case the student is transferring from a school outside Egypt, you are required to present all the documents in Part 1 in addition to the following:

  • Attendance statement (تسلسل دراسى) for the past academic years and previous school report or subjects’ certificates (for Y11 &12 only) should be notarized from the country the student is transferring from.
  • Issuing a letter of admission from the Educational District for both Egyptian and non-Egyptian students transferring from abroad. الحاق مصرى عائد / الحاق وافد

To enable students to be fully enrolled at Nefertari International school, all the documents required by the school and the Ministry of Education in Egypt must be submitted to our Student Affairs office before the beginning of the academic year. Please be advised that it is the sole responsibility of the parent to comply with submitting these documents. NIS accepts no responsibility for the consequences or failure to do so.
